Proclamation Day

We had a fantastic day raising our new Irish flag for Proclamation Day.

M. Bernie read out the Proclamation over the intercom so we could hear it.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Last week was ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ in Merlin Woods. Every class made a huge effort to speak Irish and engage in Irish activities throughout the week. Some of the class started a ‘Leabhar Gaeilge’, they spoke Irish in the yard, the senior classes were learning various Irish proverbs, there was a table quiz ‘as gaeilge’, art competitions and 3rd class were lucky enough to have a Céilí with Junior Infants! Art around the world

We all wore green today for school to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day.

Learning about Germany

First class learnt a poem about an apple in German. Thank you to Kaja (Zoe's mom) for teaching them all about Germany.
